PS3 Sale Price
Have you looked in the sale papers for a PS3? The demand is keeping the price high. It can be annoying if you only have a set amount of money to work with and it’s not quite enough to make the purchase.
I feel your pain! I have tried to justify the item in so many ways for so long. I figured I could sell all my old PS2 games and console and start building a PS3 fund. I’ve given serious thought to cleaning out my closet, trying to find some of those old jeans that now seem to be in fashion and see if I could sell them on eBay. I dug through the basement in the junk room looking for old board games and stuffed animals to auction off online. I even once had a garage sale to sell all my old junk so I could fund the purchase of the PS3. Not including my time I made about $50. By the way, garage sales will not get you the most money! You’ll make much more money selling your stuff on eBay.
In days gone by I felt the same way. There really is no comparison with other gaming consoles. The fact that it is Blu-Ray is a huge selling point for me. Not only are all the games HD but now my movies are too. Try selling that angle to the wife! Honestly, once we got HD and my wife watched it a few times we really only watch HD shows or movies. I had won her over on every point exept the price.
I’ve done some research and what I’ve found is that if you want the best gaming console on the market and you want to play Blu-Ray DVDs there simply isn’t a better value than the PS3. Even when it’s not on sale! The average Blu-Ray player will cost you $200-$250 but it doesn’t play games. The new XBOX does play games in HD and movies as well but it uses the not-chosen HD DVD format. The real issue is getting a PS3, if at all possible, at a discount.
I searched on eBay and some other traditional auction sites and found that there really aren’t any PS3 Sale Prices out there. They make you spend much more than you would for just the console by throwing in all these games and accessories. The goal here is to spend as little money as possible, not more.
Ultimately, I had to think outside the box. I started investigating unique bid auction sites. For my money there is simply no comparison to www.auctions4acause.com. They have more everyday items available for auction, including the PS3, than any of the other sites. You’ll find cars, boats and vacations on the other sites. That’s all well and good but I just want a PS3!
After I found that site I know it was exactly what I needed. They had 2 items going for them in that they had the item I wanted at a potentially very inexpensive price. I went there and created an account. I placed 3 bids and hoped that they were unique and the lowest. Alas, I didn’t win the first time around. It was another couple of days before another one came up for auction. I placed a few more bids and slept well that night. Bingo! This time I had a winner. 1 week later I was unboxing my new PS3. At the end I had dropped less than $60.64. Not too shabby, huh?
It can take a few minutes of reading to truly grasp the concept of the lowest unique bid auction style. After you grasp the idea you could become addicted. Since that time that I won the PS3 I’ve bid on and won 3 other items including an iPod Nano (they have the best iPod Prices) and $400 gas card. I’m getting about 4 to 1 on my money so far with $1,200 in items for less than $360 in bidding.
I wouldn’t suggest the big box stores to find the best prices. Go register at Auctions4aCause and get a great deal.
